Ronnie works with management/executive professionals who need to improve their writing. They do improve their writing, in significant and measurable ways.
Management and executive professionals must write concisely, clearly, with the appropriate level of detail, and without mistakes. They need to represent their organizations well and reduce their readers' burden. Yet, when these writers, these higher-level professionals, need help, they are often uncomfortable asking for it because at that level, “they should know how to write.” That's the common misperception.
This coaching is private, individual, and there's nothing like it out there. Here's why:
Ronnie is experienced and trained in Plain Language principles and communication, She has written books and articles (and has been interviewed as an expert in major publications' articles). She has developed and delivered training and speeches on written and spoken communication for more than 1,200 audiences/groups.
Ronnie begins the coaching process by reviewing several documents. Using a proprietary tool, she diagnoses the weaknesses in the message (e.g., wordiness, failure to select appropriate level of detail, organization, tone) and mechanics (grammar, structure, punctuation, etc.). Then, she designs a completely individualized program to address the needs of that person. She coaches on line primarily with lessons, exercises, and feedback scheduled and completed at the client's convenience.
No group training can meet the privacy, scheduling needs, and unique strengths and weaknesses of an individual who must write well in the role that he or she serves in an organization. There is nothing like this out there. It's convenient, cost and time effective, and most of all, it works!
