The Communications Audit™—The most in-depth, accurate, and insightful workplace communication diagnostic tool available.
As ineffective (or absent) communication is a leading cause of conflict, loss of productivity, and poor morale in any organization, it is essential that areas needing improvement be identified and addressed. The Communications Audit, developed by, and proprietary to, Ronnie Moore, is the diagnostic tool that identifies general and specific needs and provides remediation options for spoken and written communication. The audit can focus on a team, a department, or an entire organization. The audit is a four-part process that spans several weeks to several months.
Part 1 is research and information gathering and includes a needs assessment, interviews (phone/in person), written surveys, observations (e.g., meetings), and documents (e.g., memos, letters, etc.) review.
Part 2 is the report writing stage. An in-depth report includes findings and recommendations for meeting the communication challenges identified by the audit. The audit report will provide insight as well as some tools to implement. It will also propose training, coaching, and/or consulting options designed to meet the specific needs identified by the audit. Fees for audit-identified training and coaching are lower, as the audit process serves as an in-depth needs assessment, generally part of any training fee.
Part 3 is the presentation. A copy of the report will be sent to all pertinent parties (e.g. department heads) for their review several days before the presentation meeting. The presentation, which can span several hours or several meetings (for example, some departments may request separate meetings to discuss their needs), allows questions, clarification of findings, and goal setting, as needed.
Part 4 is follow up. A follow up consultation, approximately 90 days after the audit is completed, is included in the audit. This involves a consultation with critical staff (e.g., department heads) after the audit is completed.
